Vow of Sacred Silence

I leave not from hatred, nor from anger,
but from reverence.

This silence is my offering to God, my obedience to Truth.

This silence is also my last act of love to you: the only way left
to free you from the comfort of illusion
and place you back in God’s hands.

In my silence I do not abandon, I release.
In my silence I do not punish, I pray.

This is what I owe to God.
This is what I owe to you.
May this silence
be the beginning of your alchemy and the completion of my own.
